Resurrection of the Dead

Resurrection of the dead is the fifth of the foundational teachings of the Word of Christ. Hebrews 6:1-2 lists them in order: "repentance from dead works, faith toward God, the teaching of baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment." The writer calls these the first principles of Christ, the foundation on which believers build as they press on toward maturity. The resurrection of the dead comes near the end of that list, just before eternal judgment, and it is part of the beginning of Christ's Word, not an afterthought. This category is set aside for studies on this subject. No articles have been posted here yet, so for now this page introduces where the teaching fits. To see it in context, start with The Word of Christ, which explains why Christ's teaching is the foundation of salvation and life with God. You can also read the prophecy "Don't Fear Death" and the teaching "Christ as Our Death," which look at dying with Christ and living with Him.
